Document Description
Remove two (2) invasive plant species, Canada thistle (Cirsium arvense) and tall whitetop (Lepidum latifolium), from meadows and along hot-springs-streams at Grover Hot Springs State Park to protect unusual plant assemblages and rare species. Work will:
Use a wick or sponge to apply Roundup to any tall whitetop and Canada thistle located within 25' of water;
Apply a mixture of Telar XP and Garlon 4 to tall whitetop and a mixture of Transline and Garlon 4 to Canada thistle located beyond 25' from water;
Use a wick or sponge to apply herbicide within 20' of meadow hawksbeard;
Use a wick or sponge to apply Roundup to Canada thistle intermixed with willows; and
Place absorbent towel around herbicide containers and around the patch of plants being treated.
