Document Description
Construct new trail and remove segments of existing trails in Folsom Lake State Recreation Area to reduce user conflicts and resource impacts from the existing trail alignment. Work will: for reroute 1 - construct 450 ft of new trail and remove and conduct restoration on approx 550 ft of the existing Pioneer Express Trail. Construct a 42-ft wood bridge across an existing seasonal stream on this re-route; for reroute 2 - eliminate approx 250 ft of an existing connector trail from the Pioneer Express Trail to the Beeks Bight Parking Lot and conduct restoration on trail segment to be eliminated. Construct approx 500 ft of a new sustainable connector trail from the parking lot to the Pioneer Express Trail. Construct a 60-ft wood bridge as part of this new connector trail; for reroute 3 - construct approx 100 ft of new trail re-route and eliminate and conduct restoration on approx 100 ft of the existing Bob's Cut Trail; and for user created trail removal - remove and conduct restoration on approx 950 ft of user created trails.
