Document Description
The project will replace the existing sewer line of Little Upper Loop Campground in Castle Crags State Park and install a new culvert and drain inlet to prevent road shoulder erosion.
Sewer line work will: excavate a trench 150' long x 3' wide x 24- 36" deep through existing asphalt; abandon existing sewer line in place; install new 4" SDR 35 gravity sewer pipe with gasketed joints above existing pipe; install new connections and replace distribution box; install double clean out at road edge; remove 1 Ponderosa Pine in campsite parking spur #27 and; place tracer tape and back fill trench with clean sand, native soil, compacted road base. Culvert and drain inlet work will: excavate a 36" x 36" x 36" hole and install a Caltrans Type G concrete drain inlet and grate; excavate a trench 40' long x 4' wide x 36-60" deep; install a 40' long x 18" diameter steel culvert; backfill with 6" base rock up to 18" deep and; place 6-8" rocks beneath outlet 10' long by 6' wide to dissipate water energy.
