Document Description
The proposed project will replace and upgrade a damaged culvert that crosses under the only public road leading to a boat storage facility and marina in Folsom Lake State Rec area to stabilize the road embankment above the culvert.
Work will: remove 2 trees, 1 20" DBH gray pine and 1 20" DBH blue oak, that are adjacent to the existing culvert and lean over the work area at the culvert outlet; saw cut the paved public road above the existing culvert and excavate and area approx 38 ft wide x 70 ft long x 10 ft deep; remove existing 18-in culvert and replace with a 48-in corrugated polyethylene pipe; aggregate road base on top; compaction test roadway according to Caltrans specifications; place 97 cy of clean class 3 riprap for rock slope facing along all disturbed/exposed surfaces and to armor culvert inlet and outlet; and repave roadway with 4 in of asphalt.
