Document Description
The DTSC, pursuant to authority granted under CCR, title 22, Division 4.5, section 66270.61, has issued an Emergency Permit to AMPAC Fine Chemicals to treat hazardous waste by controlled reaction with a chemical solution.

These hazardous waste items are expired and are currently being stored at AMPAC Fine Chemicals located at Hazel Ave and Highway 50 in rancho Cordova, CA. DTSC has determined as a safety precaution to prevent an accident or severe injury, an Emergency permit should be issues to chemically stabilize the hazardous waste prior to transportation off site by Clean harbors environmental Services. The treatment of the hazardous waste involves the controlled addition of solution to the containers to reduce the reactive or ignitable characteristics of the chemicals.
