Type, Section or Code
S:15061(b)(3),15301,15313,15325
Reasons for Exemption
The project is not being proposed to be modified in a way that might have a new significant effect on the environment. The District's water distribution system will be operated within the range of operations contemplated under the District's original water service contract with the U.S. The most significant change resulting from the interim renewal contract is the changes in the pricing structure, over which the District has no discretion, and to the extent it did would be exempt pursuant to §15273(a). The Project is also exempt under section 15301 of the CA State CEQA Guidelines, which consists of the operation, repair, maintenance or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that previously existing, including existing facilities providing public utility services. The project is the ongoing operation of the District's water distribution system to deliver CVP water under the terms of the interim renewal contract.
