Price Street Bluff Projection Project

The city plans to construct a drilled pier seawall along an approx 60-ft section of undermined coastal bluff adjacent to Price St. The face of the tied-back wall would be sculpted and colored to blend in with the adjacent geologic features, with min visual alteration of the coastal bluff. The construction components consist of concrete, reinforced steel, and tiebacks. The wall would extend approx 20-30 ft beneath the top of bluff. The purpose of the proposed project is to mitigate existing erosion of the bluff that could undermine Price St and the adjacent sidewalk. No changes to Price St or the sidewalk adjacent to the project site would occur as a result of the project. Project construction would take place over an approx 90-day period.
