Document Description
LBUSD proposes campus improvements to Rogers MS, which includes the installation of: new HVAC systems with a new instrumentation and controls system, upgraded electrical systems, ADA-compliant access improvements, new drop ceilings in various classrooms, a campus wide fire alarm, digital intercom/clock and bell system upgraded, and the replacement of the turf play field with synthetic turf. Other improvements to the buildings receiving the HVAC upgrade include: new LED light fixtures and power outlets, new Extron AV systems, and new floor and paint finishes. The proposed project only involves the renovation of existing buildings and limited site work related to modifying ramps and pavement for ADA compliance. The project would have no effect on the capacity of the school. Construction activities are anticipated from Jan 2018 to August 2018 for the HVAC project, and from June 2019 to August 2019 for the play field improvements. The project would benefit the staff and students at the school.

The proposed project consists of repairs, upgrades and minor alteration of existing buildings to provide HVAC system; fire, life, safety; floor and paint finishes; ceilings, and accessibility improvements. The project does not increase student capacity of the school and does not increase the sf of the building.
The project would remove the HVAC systems in buildings and replace with a new system. Also the project would replace the existing turf field synthetic turf. All upgraded buildings and the field on the campus will have the same purpose and capacity as the currently conditions.
