Document Description
The city of Jackson proposes to replace the existing South Ave Bridge over the south fork of Jackson Creek, by removing the bridge and realigning the creek crossing along an extension of Gordon Place Rd. The proposed project would replace the bridge on an improved alignment, adjacent and downstream of the existing location. This project would require additional ROW, and would extend Gordon Place Rd to connect with SR 49. The existing bridge proceeds northeast from South Ave and becomes one lane over the south fork of Jackson Creek towards a parking lot, which leads to SR 49. This bridge would be removed and additional ROW would be acquired to extend the existing Gordon Place in the southbound direction to connect with SR 49.
