Document Description
The project consists of shoreline excavation and installation of piers for a new dock or by securing the dock using stiff-arm and cables fixed to shoreline. The project will occur in two phases. While water levels in the lake are lowered by tri-dam, the excavation project will occur in two phases. While water levels in the lake are lowered by Tri-dam, the excavation project will occur in dry conditions. Shoreline excavation will require the removal of approximately 900 cubic yards of material from the 498-foot elevation contour up to the 515-foot contour to level the ground within the footprint of the dick. Excavated soil will be removed from the site and deposited in an approved location where it will not re-enter the lake or a watercourse. Once lake water levels have risen, a barge with a pile driver will install the piers (two 3-inch poles at the 515-foot elevation contour) to which the floating dock and ramp will be attached (Exhibit B). Another alternative is to secure the dock is by using stiff0arm and cables fixed to shoreline
