Document Description
The 165-acre Hallwood Side Channel and Floodplain Restoration Project will reclaim the currently disconnected floodplain, rehabilitate side channels through the floodplain, reduce channel confinement, restore riparian vegetation, place large woody debris in the channel to provide cover from high flow velocities and predators for juvenile salmonids, and enhance rearing habitat by removing approx. 3.1 million cubic yards of mining era sediment and placing approx. 122 thousand cubic yards of river rock and woody debris. The State Lands Commission action is an approval of a 10-year General Lease - Public Agency Use through April 18, 2028.
