Document Description
The project proposes to abandon, replace, construct, or rehabilitate facilities related to the existing Lotus St sewer line, including abandoning approx 600 lf of 6-in cast iron pipeline in place, removing approx 250 ft of existing 6-in cast iron pipeline, and installing approx 640 lf of new or replacement 8-in PVC pipeline (along with related manhole facilities). The project would upgrade a sewer system constructed in 1957 that due to its nature and age, has experienced substantial corrosion/blockage and associated sewage spills and odor generation. In addition, the described pipeline segment proposed to be abandoned extends under an existing structure, necessitating the proposed new alignment for new/replacement sewer line.
