Document Description
Adoption of a Management Plan for Fitch Mountain Park and Open Space Preserve with actions to guide staff in day-to-day activities and to provide criteria for operations, maintenance, and management. The management plan was developed to protect the biodiversity, soil and aquatic resources, ecological functions, and scenic values of the preserve and provide public recreational and educational opportunities that are compatible with protection of natural resources. The actions and policies of the plan are organized into four categories: resource management, fire risk abatement, public uses and engagement, and trails and recreation. Actions will include a new preserve entrance at the Villa Chanticleer lower parking lot, bathrooms, ADA access, and trail work.
