Document Description
Caltrans proposes to resurface and restore the pavement along SR 99 from 0.4 mile south of the Buhach Rd overcrossing to 0.8 mile south of the Westside Blvd undercrossing (PM 20.1 to 24.3) in the city of Atwater in Merced County. The project includes constructing 1,250 ft long deceleration lanes at the Applegate northbound and southbound off-ramps. To provide additional drainage capacity, the project would construct five new retention basins and replace/construct existing traffic management system elements, such as traffic monitoring stations, roadside weather information system, closed-circuit television camera, changeable message sign, microwave vehicle detection system, automated warning system, install fiber optic cable infrastruction between Atwater and Livingston.
