Document Description
Eastern Municipal Water District proposes the Fox Tank Project to provide improved water infrastructure for its customers in the unincorporated Mead Valley community of western Riverside County. Potable water storage in the project area is currently provided by the existing Orange Tank. The Orange Tank, constructed in 1965, has a capacity of 0.15 MG. In order to meet current and project growth demands for potable water in the area, EMWD's Water Facilities Master Plan identified the need for a 1.0 MG replacement tank. The project proposes to construct a 1.0-MG above ground, welded steel tank approx 0.25-mi northwest of the existing tank Orange Tank. Other components of the Fox Tank site would include an on-site detention basin with a capacity of approx 0.15 MG; access and maintenance roads; and other appurtenances to support tank operations, including a valving structure, electrical service, and supervisory control and data acquisition communications.
