Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes an immediate repair of structural roadway failure on State Route (SR) 88 from postmile 68.0 to R69.0 in Amador County. The failure is a result of a utility trench being backfilled with concrete, which is preventing ground water from draining properly. The concrete needs to be removed and replaced with a permeable backfill and new asphalt to prevent water from percolating up through the pavement. The purpose of the project is to maintain highway safety. The need of this project is to immediately protect the traveled way from further structural damage.
