Document Description
This project will provide the public a safer bridge crossing of Curtis Creek on Lime Kiln Rd. Lime Kiln Rd is a two lane rural minor collector road that runs from Algerine-Wards Ferry Rd to Highway 108 within Tuolumne County. There is currently a one-lane bridge crossing Curtis Creek. According to the June 4, 2014 Caltrans Bridge Inspection Report the bridge was determined structurally deficient, with a deficiency rating of 65.6. In addition, the existing bridge is located along a sag vertical curve and the road approaching from the south makes a 90 degree turn in order to cross the existing bridge. The purpose of this project is to replace the structurally deficient bridge and realign the existing roadway to increase safety for drivers. The existing structurally deficient Lime Kiln Road bridge (Bridge No. 32C0016) will also be removed.
