Document Description
The project consists of a realignment of existing creek channel and bank stabilization for an approx 290 ft long stretch of Almendra creek, located on APN# 510-13-026, between two residential parcels at 16161 Bachman Ave (APN# 510-20-026) and 18114 Bancroft Avenue (APN# 510-13-028) in Monte Sereno, CA. The project also includes riparian habitat restoration. All three parcels are owned by the same owner.
The project would involve grading work for the channel realignment and proposes a total of 190 cy of cut and 160 cy of fill for a net of 30 cy of cut. Portions of the existing channel will be filled and excavation will be performed for the proposed channel realignment. Construction would occur over a period of dry, four months.
Upon implementation the project would result in a creek channel with more natural curvature, stabilized banks and riparian vegetation along the realigned creek channel.
