Document Description
This project would continue collaboration between the County, BLM, and USFWS in the Horseshoe Lake Unit of the Cosumnes River Preserve. The project would restore and enhance 110 acres of aquatic and upland habitat for federally, and state listed species such as Giant Garter Snake and other native CA species. The project would include the creation of 10 acres of perennial wetlands, creation of 20 acre sof seasonal wetlands, enhancement of surrounding upland habitat, and planting of native trees. Additionally, herbicide treatments will be used to control invasive plant species on the whole 110-acre project area.
