Document Description
The project consists of a trail management and restoration project along the existing Asilomar Coast Trail to rehabilitate and enhance sections of an existing trail in order to protect sensitive coastal dune habitat and species, while providing continued public use and enjoyment of the site. The existing trail and proposed project are part of the existing long-term dune restoration program initiated by CA State Parks in the late 1980s. The project is intended to protect restored plant communities, reduce erosion and protect public access, and includes the construction and restoration of a total of approx 0.5 mi of existing trails within five segments.
