Document Description
Currently the city has an existing bus stop that has one small shelter that can only accommodate a few people at a time. The city of Tehachapi Park & Ride and Transit Facility Project will construct a parking lot with bus turnouts on Tehachapi Blvd. It will be located on the north side of Tehachapi Blvd, south of the railroad tracks (east of the Antelope Run Bicycle Pedestrian Path) between Mill St and Pauley St. The primary purpose of the project is to provide a safe place for residents to park their vehicles and carpool, van pool or ride the bus to their places of work or school outside of the Tehachapi Area. The facility will have approx 120 parking spaces, improved pedestrian facilities, minor landscaping, bicycle parking, bus shelters, lighting and security facilities.
