Caltrans proposes to improve the SR 99 corridor through the downtown core of the City of Live Oak in Sutter County from just south of Ash Street to just north of Ramsdell Dr. The total length of the project is approx. 1.6 miles long. The purpose of this project is to rehabilitate Live Oak Blvd. (SR 99) through the City of Live Oak, provide safety improvements, improve traffic flow of a key state hwy by enhancing local accessibility and regional goods movement, use streetscape design to enhance the City's appearance, and be a catalyst of revitalization for the local economy and a main corridor of the City of Live Oak.
