Document Description
CDFW has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2018-0040R4, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Caltrans.
Project involves advancing three 115 foot deep geotechnical borings through the northbound lane fo the State Route 58 roadway at and near where it crosses over Trout Creek. One will be bored throughout the roadway and bridge deck into the creekbed, and the other two will be bored through the roadway into the soils just outside the creek approaching the bridge from both directions. All three borings will be advanced using a truck-mounted drill rig employing the punch-core rotary wash drilling method. Soils data will be collected from the three borings for use evaluating the density, strength, and liquefaction potential of the underlying soils. The soils data will inform the design of a planned replacement bridge.
