Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2016-0267-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Browns Valley Irrigation District.
Maintenance of 4,000' bypass channel along the Yuba River. Maintenance is required generally once per year during the low flow period. To begin maintenance, an excavator and a bulldozer or front loader are delivered to an area just upstream of the entrance to the bypass channel. The equipment is then walked to the head of the bypass channel using existing roads and access ramps. The amount of material to be removed varies each year depending on the extent of the winter storm flows. Typically 500 to 2000 cubic yards of material will be removed each year.
