Document Description
On SR-1, the project begins approx 1,000 ft east of Old Newport Blvd and ends at the Old Newport Blvd and SR-1 intersection. On Old Newport Blvd, the project extends from SR-1 to approx 250 ft north of Santa Ana Ave, for a total distance of about 450 ft. The project would provide a dedicated right-turn lane on SR-1 onto Old Newport Blvd as well as a pedestrian crosswalk and bicycle lane within the project limits. The purpose of the project is to improve traffic operations; to alleviate vehicle queuing; and to reduce congestion along SR-1 and Old Newport Blvd; to improve circulation and safety of pedestrians and bicyclists.
