Document Description
The MWDSC has entered into farm leases with Desert Milling, Inc. on portions of Metropolitan's farmlands in the Palo Verde Irrigation District. The lease would begin March 1, 2017 with a term of four years and ten months; the lessee has a right to extend the terms of this lease for an additional 15 years. The lease includes a targeted level of consumptive water use and requirements for the lessees to fallow a portion of the lands in accordance with the Metropolitan-PVID fallowing program.
