Document Description
The proposed project will construct a 20 acre recharge facility near Orestimba Creek and the Delta-Mendota Canal that would allow the recharge of 500 acre feet per year to the local groundwater basin. Existing connections to the DMC would deliver up to 500 afy of excess winter flows and recaptured storm water flows. The banked water would be available for recovery during dry periods through the construction of an extraction well at the site. The recharge water source would vary from year to year but could include excess winter flows from CCID and storm water flow from the Kings and San Joaquin Rivers.
