Document Description
The project comprises habitat restoration on three areas of the YBWA: a 2.7 mi corridor, a 2.2 mi corridor and a 0.5 acre demonstrating planting. The project will be completed with full coordination with the CDFW, which is the landowner. Stakeholders included during the implementation process will include farmers and ranchers with leases on the YBWA units, the Natural Resources Conservation Service, the Yolo Basin Foundation and all regulatory agencies with jurisdiction. The project will treat noxious plant species and establish a diverse mix of native plant species appropriate to the region. The project, which is to plant up to 2,000 native plants over 12 acres and to seed up to 26 acres of native floodplain meadow, will work within all regulatory restrictions that apply.
