New 1,700 ft Class I & IV multi-use trail from Taft Pepper Street( 12-ft path w/ 2-ft paved shoulders). Includes: path construction; bridge over UPPR tracks; retaining walls/abutments; tree removals; & re-striping California Blvd. vehicle travel lanes (decrease NB travel lanes from 2 to 1) and construction of right turn lane. Approx. 3.15 acres of disturbance (0.76 acre permanent, 2.16 acres temporary, & 0.28 acre of unpaved construction staging. Permanent or ROW take & temporary construction easements (UPRR, State, private property) needed.
