Document Description
The project will entail the replacement of an existing heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system with a new HVAC system throughout the Gym. The scope of this portion of the project will include removal of the existing HVAC equipment, asbestos abatement, cleaning and leak testing for ducts, structural upgrades to support new air handlers on the lower adjacent roof, electrical power upgrades, upgrades to the existing hard lid ceilings, and seismic upgrades to the suspension system located in the Gym. The Project, as evaluated herein, will also entail replacing the deck and concrete on two deteriorating pedestrian bridges that connect the Gym to the athletic field. Finally, the project will entail the implementation of campus-wide energy efficiency measures. These efforts will be initiated separately however; they have been grouped in this NOE because they are located on the Lincoln High School campus and because the construction schedules will overlap. The HVAC portion of the project is anticipated to begin in the fourth quarter of 2017 and will be complete within approximately twelve months. The pedestrian bridge portion of the project is anticipated to begin in fourth quarter of 2017 and will be complete within approximately four months. The Prop 39 portion of the Project will begin in the first quarter of 2017 and will be complete within approximately twelve months. No increases in student enrollment, capacity, or intensity of use are proposed as part of the project.
