Document Description
This project will develop and demonstrate a solid-state amine scrubbing technology for upgrading biogas to renewable natural gas that provides a significant reduction in capital and operating costs compared to current state-of-the-art aqueous amine scrubbers. This project will model, develop, synthesize, and characterize new sorbent materials in a laboratory, then test and analyze the performance of these materials by demonstrating their ability to upgrade biogas to renewable natural gas at a wastewater treatment plant. The test unit will be approximately the size of a desktop computer and will be installed and operated outdoors.
