Document Description
SWRCB, as the responsible agency, will be issuing a water supply permit. The Central Valley Eggs Domestic Water System will construct a water treatment system to treat arsenic and chromium IV. The existing 800 foot deep, 1,670 gallon per minute well will provide water to the treatment system. From the well, a 20-inch diameter pipe will be installed that connects to a newly installed 8 foot wide by 8 foot tall 3,000 gallon oxidation tank. From the oxidation tank, the water will be routed through the new 40 foot by 60 foot open air treatment facility by a pump. 2 Multimedia filters, 2 ion exchange filters, and a carbon filter will help treat the water. Wastewater will be pumped to a newly installed 12 foot wide by 7 foot tall 5,000 gallon tank, and through a 4-inch diameter pipe to an evaporation pond. A 1-inch diameter brine line will travel from the ion exchange filters to the brine tank. The clean water will be pumped through 1 1/2 and 3 inch piping to 2- 10,000 gallon clear well tanks, 12 foot wide by 12 foot tall. The treatment system is part of a larger project to construct 3 young hen houses, 7 lay houses, a manure handling system, wastewater handling, storm drainage storage, an office (2,734 feet), egg processing plant (20,843 feet), cooler (15,162 ft), dry storage (9,700 ft), and install 13 backup generators. Onsite parking, a vehicle wash station, and perimeter and facility fencing will be installed. The project will provide for the operation of the facilities.
