Document Description
Metro would remove, relocate, and install fare collection equipment as needed to support operational needs of Stations and Transit centers owned by Metro and other agencies in the County of Los Angeles. Actual fare collection equipment may include, but are not restricted to, TAP vending machines, stand-alone validators, fare gate consoles, fare gate consoles, fare barrier emergency swing gates, and fare barrier fencing. The main purpose of equipment project include reducing/maintain the average daily transactions per TVM to at or below 250, facilitating all-door boarding and alighting, improving customer convenience, managing locally-induced demand, serving increased network ridership, and supporting new station and transit center entrances.
