Document Description
The developer, Cross Development is proposing to construct an approximately 9,100 sf retail store for Dollar General. As a smaller scale formula retail chain, Dollar General is relatively new to California and sells various types of merchandise at a broad price range, including but not limited to apparel, toys, prepackaged foods, beverages and cosmetics. This project is proposed to be developed on a parcel located at the northern entrance to downtown Middletown, near Middletown High School, with frontage along Hwy 29. This site is a highly visible, prominent location, so particular attention should be paid to building architecture, landscaping and lighting.
