Document Description
The project proposes to restore wetland hydrology to the historic floodplain of the San Jacinto River and complete associated habitat restoration activities, resulting in creation of a 563-acre mitigation bank on parcels totaling 613 acres. Grading is anticipated to involve the removal of approximately 145,000 cy of soil from the man-made berms on both sides of the river. Approximately 46,000 cy of soil would be placed in the low-flow channel, while approximately 99,000 cy would be placed as temporary fill in existing agricultural fields just east of the bank.
