Document Description
The project is limited to the removal of dense stands of cattails from the stream channel which are constricting stream flow and causing localized flooding. Cattails are generally removed using bladed weed-eaters. In areas where mature trees do not pohibit access, heavy equipment, such as an excavator with a flail mover extension positioned at top-of-bank, may be used. In some instances an excavator bucket may be used to pull cattails out without disturbing the soil with the bucket.
