The Master Plan provides a framework for implementation of the University's goals and programs by identifying needed facilities and improvements to accommodate growth in student enrollment. The student enrollment is projected to reach 22,500 full-time equivalent students (25,000 head count) by 2035. The objective of the Master Plan is to guide campus development, accommodating student enrollment growth over 20 years. Cal Poly also proposes to build 420 units of faculty, staff, and general public housing at the northeast intersection of Slack St and Grand Ave on a 22-acre site. The project will consist of a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units and approx 8,500 sf of retail, within 14 separate buildings ranging in size from two to five stories each. Parking will be provided on-site at a ratio of 1.7 spaces per unit.
