Document Description
LADWP operates the existing Haiwee Power Plant Penstock for the conveyance of water from the south Haiwee Reservoir to the Haiwee Power Plant as part of the overall LA Aqueduct System. Due to a partial collapse of the penstock in 1984, and decades of corrosion and pitting, normal operation of the penstock does not meet current day design standards. This project would replace approx. 10,000 feet of existing pipe to allow the safe transmission of water from the South Haiwee Reservoir to the Haiwee Power Plant.
