Document Description
The objective of this project is to add or improve the pedestrian, bicycle, and streetscape amenities/associated street furniture along several of the key roadways within the Washington District of the City of West Sacramento. The above ground utilities along these roadways would be placed underground, and new street lighting would be installed to improve the aesthetics and safety of the neighborhood. Sidewalks improvements, new bike lanes, and mid-block pedestrian crossings would be added. Care would be taken that the new sidewalks, curb ramps, and crosswalks are ADA compliant. New sewer lines would be placed alongside existing sewer lines. Storm drain pipelines would be placed along existing pipelines. Water main rehabilitation and upgrades would be placed alongside existing water mains.
