SMUD proposes to construct a new substation that would occupy an approximately 0.16 acre site located at Siemens Industry, Inc. in Sacramento County, CA. The new substation would be located at 7338 French Rd, Sacramento, which is in south Sacramento County east of SR 99. The site is in an industrialized area south of Florin Rd and west of French Rd. The new Siemens substation would contain a single 20 MVA transformer and associated substation equipment. The project would also require a new telecommunications line and would reconfigure an existing cubicle on French Rd. This project would require new, local aboveground subtransmission and above and belowground distribution lines.
