Document Description
The City of LA Department of Water and Power is proposing to modify the spillway of Grant Lake Reservoir to allow for controlled release of higher volumes of water from the reservoir to Rush Creek during specific time periods. The project would be required per the terms of proposed amendments to SWRCB License Nos. 10191 and 10192. The SWRCB is the decision making body for consideration and approval of the License amendments. The project would include: installation of two Langermann Gates side by side inside a concrete headwall located at the spillway lip; realignment of the concrete spillway by excavating a new trapezoidal channel; and restoration of access across the spillway by replacing the vehicular bridge or placing a cast in place box concrete culvert at the Arizona Crossing.
