Document Description
The California Department of Toxic Substance control, pursuant to authority granted under chapter 6.8 Division 20, Section 25355 (a)(1)(C) of the health and safety code approved a removal action work plan as submitted on April 29, 2016 by Brawley Elementary School District. The goal of this RA is for all significant contamination to be excavated, removed from the Site, and properly treated and/or disposed of offsite. The proposed action at the site focuses on the removal and disposal of soils impacted with the contaminants of concern to reduce the threat to human health, safety, and the environment and to provide a permanent solution that reduces the toxicity, mobility, and volume of impacted soil. The long-ranged planned development of the site is a paved parking lot for the existing Barbara Worth Junior High School.
