Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board, as the responsible agency, will be issuing a water supply permit. The City of Riverside Public Utilities District laid 458 ft of concrete and completed construction of a 500ft. (20-inch diameter casing) 2,200 gallon per minute well in January 2015. A casting vent, flow meter, air vacuum, relief valves, sample tap, pump, 300 HP motor, electrical equipment, and piping to connect the well to existing infrastructure was also installed. 560 ft. of 16in. diameter CML & C Steel piping was laid for the waste line, while 1,340 feet of 24 in. diameter CML & C Steel piping was used to connect the well to the North Orange Transmission Line. A 14 ft. wide by 12 ft. long by 12 ft. high metal roll apart building, with a exhaust fan and roll apart building track, was installed to house the well and electrical equipment, along with ¾-1 inch copper pre-lube icing and a 100 gallon pre-lube tank for engine protection and maintenance. A transformer with a concrete pad and underground electrical lines were also constructed. A generator, a control panel, and SCADA antenna were installed. An 8 ft. fence was also constructed around the 1,922 ft perimeter of the site. A 2-inch layer of crushed rock was added within the fenced perimeter. A dirt road provides access to the well. The project will provide for the operation of these facilities.
