Document Description
CDFW has executed lake and streambed alteration agreement no. 1600-2016-0141-R1, pursuant to section 1602 of the fish and game code to Dr. Robert and Ms. Prudence Lammers. The project includes remediation activities to restore the site to pre-disturbance conditions, to the extent feasible. The work will include replacing the soil bench at the north end of the pond which will be accomplished by removing the soil deposited in the upper banks on the east side of the pond back to its original location along the stream channel. Likewise, all oil along the east bank pushed up from the pond bottom will be returned to its original location, compacted, and stabilized with rock onsite. The dam will be excavated and used to fill the location on the south end of the pond. The mound of rock and soil south of the pond will be removed from the stream channel and the small earthen dam on the ephemeral tributary north of the pond will be removed and soil replaced. The total area to be disturbed is approximately 0.5 acres. Following the grading activities in the fall, the area will be seeded with a standard Shasta County erosion control mix and standard construction stormwater BMPs applied. In the spring of the following year, trees and shrubs will be planted in the restored area.
