Document Description
The Sierra Nevada Conservancy would provide $500,000 to the El Dorado County Resource Conservation District for the Fire Adapted 50 - Sly Park Vegetation Management Project Phase II. The project will leverage a collaboration between long-time partners to implement ecologically sound forest restoration work on a large-landscape scale. The total project is focused on removing excessive fuels on approx. 260 acres. Treatments include mastication, feller-bunching and skidding of bundled material, slashing, hand piling, tractor piling, pile burning, pruning, chipping or tub grinding piles, and redistribution of surface fuels around residual trees.
