Proposed resolution approving Agreement 300-15-013 with ADM Associates, Inc. for a $1,147,406 contract to conduct market analysis to characterize existing and future electricity load in the service territories of Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Southern California Edison Company, and San Diego Gas & Electric Company. This information will help overcome technical barriers to achieving California's clean energy goals by providing an accurate assessment of the contributions of clean energy technologies in reducing peak demand, integrating renewable energy into the grid, and maintaining electricity system reliability as the development of clean energy technologies and strategies increases over time.

Exemption 15306 applies to this project since the work involves basic data collection, research, and analysis activities that do not result in major disturbances to an environmental resource. This project will collect energy usage data from commercial and residential customers, such as meter account identifiers; meter address; North American Industry Classification System or Standard Industrial Classification codes; and sub-hourly electricity usage, for the purpose of characterize existing and future electricity load. This data will be collected in the three service territories of Pacific Gas and Electric Company, Southern California Edison Company, and San Diego Gas & Electric Company. This project will not involve any physical construction. For these reasons, this work will not result in any significant environmental impact and is therefore exempt under section 15306.
