Document Description
Note: Review Per Lead
The stretch of Coast Highway within the City of Oceanside is currently operating with four travel lanes two northbound and two southbound, with limited on-street parking and no designated bicycle facilities. The proposed project would result in several changes along Coast Highway. The project would convert Coast Highway from four lanes to two lanes throughout the corridor, with segments of two southbound travel lanes between SR 76 and Surfrider Way, and south of Kelly Street to Eaton Street. The project would result in several new roundabouts and new on-street parking. Continuous bicycle facilities and streetscape improvements within the corridor would be provided. As well, Pier View Way between Coast Highway and Freeman Street would be permanently closed to allow for weekly and special events, such as the Farmers' Market, weddings, and holiday events.
