Document Description
Mayoral approval to allow for the installation of a new bridge to connect the divided community of Torrey Highlands, and to provide an alternate route across SR 56. The properties south of SR-56 in the Torrey Highlands community experience a high degree of isolation from the rest of the region, with Camino Del Sur as the only route leading into the properties. Camino Del Sur is often congested, leading to seclusion from local schools, the neighborhood park, and the local mixed use area. Traffic congestion within the existing street network is expected to worsen when the region becomes fully developed. The project would improve mobility throughout the community, integrate the existing properties south of SR-56 to the greater Torrey Highlands, provide a second means of ingress and egress for properties south of SR-56, and reduce traffic congestion at the Camino Del Sur Interchange.
