Document Description
The proposed project is to replace broken or missing clay tiles from the roof of the Sycamore Nature Center. The roof of the building is original and there are several locations where rain is getting into the building and causing damage to exhibits and the historic structure. The project is proposed to prevent further leakage in anticipation of the predicted winter El Nino related stormed events. Replacement tiles shall be of the same size, shape, and color. As much of the original tile will be preserved as possible. The ridge line will be serviced with Spix Mix, and pipe and vent flashing sealed. The work shall commence during the off-season when park visitation is at its lowest and will secure the structure, and museum items contained from water damage.
