Reasons for Exemption
The project proposes to remove hazardous vegetation from existing developed properties and highways/public facilities with the scope falling within routine property and road maintenance and involving no physical expansion of any development or physical activity. There is no likelihood of any physical impact; no permitting is required of any agency other than County encroachment permits and volunteer brush chipper agreements with the County Fire Safe and Watershed council. Project will reduce emissions from avoidance of open yard burning and devastating wildfire fuels will be removed for the protection of life, property, and natural resources.
